Times Herald: Vallejo WWII veteran to be part of Tuskegee Airmen recognition Saturday in Alameda, March 15, 2012

The USS Hornet Museum will pay tribute to several local veterans of the famed World War II Tuskegee Air Squadron on Saturday as part of its Living Ship Day.

Capt. Edward Woodward of Vallejo will be among them. He joined the Tuskegee Squadron in 1945 and served 30 years in the military.

"Red Tails Aim High! -- A Tribute to Bay Area Tuskegee Airmen starts 11 a.m. and will include musical performances by "The Frisky Frolics" and "Swinging Blues Stars." There will also be a number of children's activities.
