East Bay Times: Alameda Point’s Main Street redevelopment detailed , October 26, 2016

Excerpt:

A plan that calls for redeveloping the Main Street neighborhood of Alameda Point with mostly homes and creating an area that’s especially transit-friendly will come before the City Council on Tuesday.

Other features of the plan, which sets out the city’s vision for about 108 acres stretching south of the Main Street ferry terminal to the waterfront surrounding the Seaplane Lagoon, include light industrial uses and public parks.

The council is expected to just weigh in on the draft “Main Street Neighborhood Specific Plan,” which has been with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission.
