Alameda Sun: Planning Board Reviews Artemis Plan at Point, June 28, 2012

Excerpt:

At Monday's meeting at city hall, the Planning Board supported a deal to lease out more space at Alameda Point to the America's Cup challenger Artemis Racing Team during the America's Cup preliminaries.

Earlier this year, the city approved a deal to rent Hangar 12 at Alameda Point to the racing team for office and yacht-maintenance space. That lease starts in July and could extend up to a year.

However, Artemis told the commission that it also needs a clear path to transport its yachts from Hangar 12 to Seaplane Lagoon for the preliminary races.
