Last year the city retained Keyser Marston Associates (KMA) to prepare a strategy that establishes a vision for Alameda Point as an employment center. The study went before the Planning Board last Monday. The City Council is set to consider the report at its Dec. 4 meeting.

Part of the study divides the Point into 14 "clusters," present an organized picture of the 105 public and private enterprises that KMA identified at the Point.

"Private-sector businesses range from bicycle sales and repair to marine contractors and logistics companies," KMA stated in its report.
