Alameda Sun: City Outlines Point Development Plan, November 22, 2012
"Job creation has consistently been one of the most important community priorities." — Lori Taylor, City of Alameda Economic Development Director
In September 2011, the federal government gave the city of Alameda $225,000 to prepare an economic development strategy for Alameda Point. The city awarded the contract to Keyser Marston Associates (KMA), which has been actively involved in redeveloping closed military bases.
The firm has successfully helped attract private development at Hamilton Air Base in Novato and Fort Ord in Monterey.
