Alameda Sun: Alameda Point Appears Among Berkeley Labs' Top Six Picks, May 12, 2011

The Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL) announced on Monday that Alameda Point is one of six sites it is considering for a new facility.

The lab received more than 20 responses to its Jan. 3 request to submit proposals for its "second campus." Other sites on what the LBNL calls its "shortlist" are Oakland's Brooklyn Basin; Berkeley's Aquatic Park West; Albany's Golden Gate Fields; a site in Emeryville that already houses LBNL offices; and the University of California's Richmond Field Station.
