City Manager John Russo will offer updates on Alameda Point, city hall, and the "State of the City" during the League of Women Voters of Alameda's (LWVA's) free public forum on Thursday, May 23, from 7:00 - 8:30 pm.

Russo will review the City of Alameda's recent achievements (Alameda Landing plus other progress at Alameda Point, adopting a two-year budgeting cycle, adopting a state-compliant Housing Element, etc.). He will discuss challenges facing Alameda: rising pension and benefit costs, low sales tax revenues, funding development at Alameda Point, and more...

A time for questions and a discussion will follow his presentation; Russo encourages questions and feedback from the community. The public is welcome.
