Sip, nosh, truc: It's no secret that Alameda's Rock Wall Wine Company casual wine-tasting and street food events have struck a chord with fans. Now, the winery is making it official. Starting Nov. 2, it's making le truc, the popular street food "bustaurant," a permanent presence at its waterfront venue in an old Alameda Naval Air Station hangar -- and Rock Wall winemaker Shauna Rosenblum is stoked. "Le truc is as excited and creative about food as Rock Wall is about wine," she says, "and that awesome symbiosis is going to make for some really fun times." The partnership has opened the culinary door to such wine and food pairings as le truc's handcrafted turkey meatballs with cabernet marinara and Rock Wall's 2010 Monte Rosso Zinfandel, and Butt King Tacos with Thai curry pulled pork and sweet bell pepper slaw, paired with a 2011 Rock Hound White. Dishes will be in the $4-$15 range, with wines by the glass for $8-$12. Restaurant hours are noon to 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and weekends, and noon to 6:30 p.m. on Fridays. Details: 2301 Monarch St., Suite 300, Alameda; www.rockwallwines.com.
