Public turns out in droves to support Point development

Alamedans are excited about the possibility of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) opening up a second site on Alameda Point.

On Wednesday, July 13, the city held a rally on Alameda Point to gain public support for bringing the new LBNL to Alameda. As a part of that rally, Alameda Point Lab Partners (the city’s partner in bringing the lab to city) hosted a barbecue outside Auctions by the Bay Theater; nearly 600 people attended the event.
