I will always cast impartial, fact-based votes regardless of how popular an issue is. I realize 85 percent of Alameda voted against Sun-Cal (rightfully) -- but now we must move forward, find the right replacement developer to transform Alameda Point into a vibrant, amenity-rich area with quality, nonpolluting industries which, honestly-speaking, entails a need for a reasonable number of housing, as residential creates the tax base that pays for beautifying the Point.
