At the conclusion of my first term in office it would be my sincere hope that we would be well into the construction of the first of a multi-phased mixed-used, transit-oriented development that is being built on or at least heavily inspired by the Peter Calthorpe Plan. Folks, it’s time to fish or cut bait and I say we fish. If the council that gets seated in this election cannot get the redevelopment of Alameda
Point under way within the next four years, then those people (and I would certainly include myself in this) have no absolutely no business running for re-election in 2014.
