We are facing an opportunity to improve Alameda by developing the property at Alameda Point, and I believe that we can do so only with full attention to the potential risks. Development at Alameda Point must address the cleanup of toxic waste and the lack of transportation options, and must not place financial burdens on Alameda residents.
