Alameda District Attorney Nancy E. O'Malley announced Tuesday that her office has decided not to investigate allegations that the city filed with her office against Councilwoman Lena Tam.

The city has accused Tam of releasing confidential information that allegedly included City Attorney Teresa Highsmith's legal advice to SunCal and to representatives of the International Association of Fire Fighters Alameda Local 689, the union which represents the city's firefighters.
