Alameda Point is ideally suited for outdoor activity. Three soccer areas with multiple fields, a ball field, skate park, and the Seaplane Lagoon make the Point a popular destination for sports activities. Soccer leagues are also hosted at the popular Bladium Sports and Fitness Club at 800 West Tower Avenue.

The annual competitive Sea Scout Regatta hosted on the USS Hornet draws young Sea Scouts from the western United States for a variety of nautical challenges. The monthly Antiques Faire draws 10,000 visitors.
