American Bus Repair, LLC , dba Coach Specialties (ABR) has been a tenant in
Building 24 at Alameda Point since August 1997 , originally under the name City
Garage Carstar. In May 2000 , the City approved an assignment of the lease to
ABR. ABR uses the facility for painting all types of vehicles, including the
repainting of the historic A- airplane displayed at Alameda Point, original
London double decker buses and industrial vehicles. For more than 30 years
ABR has served the heavy duty and transit bus body repair and mechanical
needs of California , from vehicle body repair and painting, to major component
retrofits and mechanical repairs.
