Together with Golden Gate Audubon, the East Bay Regional Park District is hosting its annual “Return of the Terns” bus tour on Saturday June 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. These one-hour tours are the only chance to enter the terns’ nesting area, which is normally closed to the public. View terns on their nests and bringing food to their camouflaged chicks. Reservations are required and cost $8: Call 888-327-2757 or see http://www.ebparksonline.org. Co-sponsors include Audubon California and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
