U.S. Navy and City of Alameda agree to Term Sheet

For No-Cost Transfer of 918-Acre Alameda Point

City of Alameda, CA - At a press conference 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Alameda Point, the City of Alameda and the U.S. Navy will announce agreement on a term sheet for the No-Cost transfer of the entire 918-acre former Naval Base.

After many years of the often stalled process, this is a landmark turning point for the City of Alameda.

Attendees include Mayor Marie Gilmore, William Carsillo of the Navy , City Manager John Russo, Commanding Officer James Ridgway of the Navy.
