Correction:
No Radium Present in 2B
A story published July 28 "Point Continues to Face Cleanup Challenges" stated that dangerous levels of radium are present in Operable Unit 2B at Alameda Point. Operable Unit-2B groundwater is contaminated with chlorinated volatile organic compounds associated with solvents, paints, and other commercial products. It is not contaminated with radium.
