Contra Costa Times: City Council to get update on plans for Alameda Point, January 14, 2015

Excerpt:

ALAMEDA -- Initial plans for redeveloping part of the waterfront at Alameda Point call for public access to the shoreline, parks and open space, and a network of bicycle and walking paths that will help link the neighborhood with the rest of the city.

Alameda Point Partners, which has an exclusive negotiation agreement to redevelop the 68-acre site, also proposes extending Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway as the first phase of the project to provide a gateway to the waterfront and a new ferry terminal.

The plans, which are just at the concept stage, will be reviewed by the City Council on Tuesday, when the public can also weigh in what is being proposed.
