Excerpt:

Alameda Point is set to become home to a second America's Cup team, the city announced Monday morning. The Italian Luna Rossa Challenge 2013 team will be leasing a 65,400 square foot former airplane hangar at the Point for the next seven months, according to a press release issued shortly after 10 a.m. Monday.

The Italian team, which represents the Circolo della Vela Sicilia Yacht Club and is sponsored by Prada, will be joining Artemis Racing at Alameda Point, where the latter team has occupied a 110,000-square-foot hangar since May. The City Council is set to consider an extension of Artemis's lease until the end of 2013.
